Another lively holiday resort for families with children is Palma Nova, which has three fantastic beaches and many activities nearby. The best holiday resort in Mallorca for couples is undoubtedly Cala d’Or on the east coast. The 4-star adult-only Hotel Sentido Fido Tucan is very well located with a short distance to the best beach (Cala Gran) and to the town centre with all the nice restaurants and cafes.

Idyllic is also the port town of Puerto de Sóller on the west coast of Mallorca. Palma de Mallorca is by far the largest city in Mallorca. With excellent shopping, a vibrant culture, an interesting history and varied cuisine, Palma de Mallorca has it all for a city break. In addition, there are several lovely beaches within walking distance of the city centre.

The old town, Cascuo Antiguo, is a historic area with narrow, cobbled streets and traditional Mallorquin buildings. Here you will find many galleries, museums, unique shops and charming (tapas) restaurants. The old town also spoils tourists with the beautiful cathedral La Seu and the impressive Royal Palace of La Almudaina.

Palma de Mallorca offers excellent shopping. Passeig des Born is the most fashionable shopping street with designer boutiques such as Louis Vuitton, Bvlgari and Hugo Boss. However, the most visited shopping street is Avenida Jaime III. Palma de Mallorca also has many beautiful squares, with Placa Major as the most famous.
