Cala Figuera
Cala Figuera is located on the Formentor peninsula in the northern part of Mallorca. There are only a few kilometres to the end of the peninsula where you will find the popular vista point Cap de Formentor.
The beach in general
Cala Figuera is located deep inside a bay surrounded by high mountains. The mountains make a great scenery for a swim in the completely clear water. It is very relaxing and a more quiet experience than most of the other beaches in Mallorca.
Officially, the beach has both sand and gravel. However, there is far more gravel than sand and also some rocks. At times, there may also be large amounts of seaweed at the beach. Cala Figuera is a genuine natural beach with no facilities. Not even toilets.
There are signs by the road directing the way to the beach, and the beach is located 1.4 km from the free parking space. The path is steep and rugged and the walk through the wild nature takes 15-20 minutes.
Child-friendliness
Cala Figuera is not a child-friendly beach and neither is the path leading to it. If you wish to bring your children to the beach, Cala Formentor is a much better choice.
Water sports activities
There are no water sports activities at the beach, but the snorkelling conditions are perfect due to the clear water and the rocks. Sometimes, a boat with divers enters the bay.
Beach restaurants
There are no restaurants within a radius of several kilometres. Also, there are no beach bars or kiosks nearby, so remember to bring plenty to drink for a hot day at the beach.
Nearby holiday resorts
There are no holiday resorts near Cala Figuera. The nearest holiday resort is Puerto Pollensa, which is located 13-14 kilometres to the west.
