The most popular beach in Mallorca, Es Trenc, is located on the very scenic south coast. However, it is possible to find quite many isolated beaches and if you are willing to walk for 30-60 minutes or more, the experience can be very rewarding.

The busiest beach is Playa de Alcudia, which is located close to the largest holiday resort in Mallorca, Port d’Alcudia. This is a family favourite with its calm and shallow water. The other large holiday resorts such as Palma Nova, Puerto Pollensa and Santa Ponsa are also located close to some lovely beaches with perfect bathing conditions.

This website includes images and descriptions of more than 100 of the best and most popular beaches, and there are still more to come. Most of them are featured on above map (click on name of beach for description and photos).

The weather in Mallorca
The weather obviously matters a lot when planning a vacation. The best beach weather is typically in July and August, but in June and September, there are fewer tourists, and the weather is normally warm and sunny during these months as well. Those who wish to have Mallorca more to themselves should consider April or May, during which the weather is summery and the trees and bushes on the island are in full bloom. October is a bit riskier, but still has good chances of having beach weather.
